Tirfor winch need's good anchor to work at full pulling power. Any one tried them TERRASAUR Blade in a disc cutter?.

Not used one but have seen a 6" disc with a chainsaw chain wrapped round it....looks nasty. Might try and find one for my 9" cutter he he he!

How high?

We Tirfor a lot of stumps out, but you need a lever arm, or you're screwed.

Otherwise you can't get round the digging bit.

(let's not have the usual stuff about fores and explosives please lads!).

Hi Mark, I've not cut them yet so I can leave them as high as needed.

Thanks

why don't they want a grinder in there?

There are grinders that will probably do less damage to the shrub bed than having to dig, axe and winch them out. Plus it will be a lot quicker and a hell of a lot easier on the back. :)

No dig' date=' no grinder policy eh?

Sounds like a job for an eggcup full of fertiliser and diesel.

Each.

Stand well back, etc.. :001_smile:[/quote']

Naughty! Don't be surprised if you get a knock on the door later from Special Branch ( not the Arb firm, either!).
