Don't know if this is the right place, but it's sort of tree related as they're made of wood! My 12 yr old daughter is desperately seeking an old school desk with a lift up lid. She wants one to do up for a bedroom and to give her somewhere to do her homework.

 

I keep seeing them on ebay, but they're often collect only and located miles and miles from Sussex. Does anybody here have one they no longer need, or maybe know someone who has? Thank you kindly :thumbup1:

If you find one with 'BW luvs LB' engraved under the lid, I want it back!!

Brilliant! Mine had "Christine" gouged in it - my GF for a few months after a french exchange :lol:

If you;re prepared to tart it up a bit I can let my wife's go. It only holds some old tools and such. PM me and I'll take a picture.

I think my dads got one in his garage - full of Whitworth spanners, BSA & Triumph parts and a Seagull engine on it - like to see todays desks give the same service.

 

From memory, I think it had the holes for the ink wells - must be pretty old, bit like him:lol:

yep mine at school had a ink well in the top right hand corner with a china ink pot in it used to fill it up every week from a jug , the good old days
