How do you mean mukka?

I mean that if you're in the top of the tree with a bit of rope on the floor, you may not make it all the way. Ddrt means as your standing end comes down, your working end goes up

Something to ponder - Get a really long rope, cut it into 2. Then, whilst using your new 2 rope system, pretend your using both ends of the same rope. Win, win situation with a massively reduced chance of hurting yourself!!!!

agree with above comments...both ends of the rope is fine if there's enough rope to get you down if things go Pete Tong. Also, if you cut yourself, your going to have a job getting yourself out...even if the rope is long enough. A mate of mine used to prussik both ends of his rope, one day he cut a big chog off and it landed in the loop of the line...6'7" to 4' 6" in one swell foop!

I am looking for ADVICE and GUIDANCE from fellow professionals. Not a nit picking session. If i wanted that I would go see the ex.

Mr Cheeseman, we both know you dont have an ex as your a virgin but that aside.... climbing using both ends of your rope makes perfect sense. It allows you to triangulate your work positioning and how often do we work on london and a 45m rope dosn't touch the ground when your using both ends? Answer is rarely, it is ergonomic and its stable, your single system has had me worrying about you pendulum swinging into Surrey on several occasions!

I wish you would listen to the tone of the thread.

This is not me blaring on at him, its just the discussion factor and me using the term argue, this is meant as a focal point of the conversation and to wit my position is shown as a disagreement.

Sounds like to me that you need to add constructive and relevant comments rather than leaving slightly sarcastic and unhelpful sentences.

Just to add, after Jones' show hes now thinking of the floating hitch setup...

Well Said cheesmanator

its very easy to remark on everything and never add to the chat in a contructive way
