Doweled this one is, is there another way to biscuit joint without buying a machine ?? never used one before. The other smaller frames I'm doing a lap joint then a dowel through.

 

I've seen another guy that does mirrors when I have stalls on but he silicone's the mirrors to the wood :001_rolleyes: each to there own I guess, it's a shame as they are nice mirrors but its the first thing I spotted.

 

For biscuiting without a biscuit jointer you can get a wing cutter that goes in a router that leaves a slot the same thickness as a biscuit. If you can scrape the money together for a biscuit jointer I would be amazed if you regretted it as it is an incredibly useful machine. I have a cheap Freud one that I thought would not last but it would get me started. That was over ten years ago and at it is still perfect having done 10s of thousands of biscuits.
