i got given a husky262xp today by an old boy we were doing a bit of work for,

He wouldn't except anything for it just said he'd be glad if i got a bit of use as it was way to heavy for him now.

It's been sat for about 5-6 years is there anything i should do before i try starting it??

I'm going to give it a bit of a service first but after that i'm a little lost:confused1:

Check the fuel line and filter, especially if it has been sat with fuel in it. Spray a bit of WD40 down the bore, see if there is a spark and then try to get it going.

Post up any issues and am sure we can all help to get the beast cutting again.

Bulletproof saws, last for years and loads of spares out there.

Make sure the chain catcher and brake band are in place and working order!
