Finally got enough cash for my Cs30/31 after some hard saving! Looking at Monday 9th July if Myerscough has places! Any advice appreciated.

fit a semi-chisel chain, much easier to use for boring etc.

 

The first day with be maintenance bit slow and the second day you will be lucky to fell a small tree - then it picks up, once you have the technique.

 

Download all the nptc spec so you can read it up.

 

The assessors are ok, don't worry - if you are a safe user, you will pass:thumbup1:

Give the saw a maintenance (sharpen,clean)before u get assessed then there when u come to do it on your test its all done (without the nerves) so u can just give it a quick one on ye test. Read through your revision on parts and what their for. But most of all know the health and safety!

Indeed! As thats what you check when u start the saw

the instructors and assessors at Myerscough are great just make sure your saw is razor sharp especially when you go out felling makes life so much easier, and remember to read up on all the health and safety stuff as well and you'll do fine.

if your at myerscough make sure your bar is no bigger than 15" two fella's nearly got sent home when i did mine for having 18" bars other than that just make sure you turn up on time!

Just make sure to read up, I did all my certs with them and they are great.

I would guess that your on site training will be at the United Utilities woodland at belmont (Blackburn)
