What pet insurance do you use thanks

As with everything Read the very small print a friend of mine had to have brain surgery done on his dog, the insurance didnt cover that and cost him around £3k, the reason, his dog was just over 7 and the insurance only covered it til 7 years of age.

None. Hard decision... the premiums I could just about justify it is all the exclusions and levels of excess payments that are still payable that make it not worth the risk for us. Touch wood....

 

Second that one . I have BASC insurence so if my spaniel causes any mayhem whilst in the persuit of game we are covered for , I think , 10 million ? but vet bills are mine and at the moment I am well in front !

SNAP!

 

I suppose the other thing I have noticed is that when we do end up at the vets (operation to remove a thankfully non-malignant growth last year for example) is that you are asked whether or not you have insurance as you walk through the door. I have to say that I feel the charges that we have paid have been very reasonable and possibly quite different to what would be billed to an insurance company.

 

Hardly a thorough investigation - just my spider sense tingling. :001_smile:
