Just wondering what volume of wood people can split in a day using what gear?

We use a blockbuster processor with a hydro axe splitting head. We load the log deck with our fordson super major. The wood gets elevated into our 13t Isuzu truck which holds 10 cube.

We usually can saw and split between 50-60 cube a day.

I wish... 8 cubes a day using only a Husqvarna 576XP, a Fiskars X27, an Indespension 4x8 trailer with mesh sides, and my wife's Defender! But I do it as a sideline to keep fit :-)

With 3 of us feeding our processor with cord and rings we timed an 0.8 cube bag at 4.5 mins! it doesn't really work out like that though, over the course of a day we get 20-30 cube.

Been processing today with hakki pilke 1x37 with home made log deck, and 2.3m cord from 70 up to 350mm diameter. Done 35m3 today on my own, but that was an exceptional day coz there was not many bits over 250mm. I would say an average 8 hr day would be about 25m3.

Can manage 12 bulk bags a day. Makes a he'll of a heap! Only got a chainsaw and an axe! Need to get a splitter as my wrists are aching!! Are the vertical petrol solitudes you see on eBay any good? Around 700 quid.

lol

Im producing a cube an hour, but its huge rings im processing at the moment so its all really heavy work and time intensive cutting the discs into 6 so i can even lift them!

I have a 10 tonne splitter with good hydraulics and a selection of chainsaws.
