I disagree that Japanese stuff is 'more reliable' than Land Rovers. In certain areas they are more heavily built which translates into less propensity to shake themselves apart, but I think a well maintained Land Rover used properly is just as reliable as anything else, but with the added advantage of dirt cheap parts and Meccano like construction.

I think us Land Rover owners just complain more and ask anyone who happens to walk past what they think when something breaks off / down / apart... Jap trucks just go straight to a garage... or a scrap yard...!

Instead of respray do it yourself with a paint called combi colour it is good stuff, roller it on and gives excellent finish they use it on vw campers did my 130 black and was suprised how good finish was

i,m on my fifth hilux since 1990 i take them to 250,00 miles then get rid. Not one has let me down. Thats what i call reliability. 30mpg sits all day at 70-80mph. Jap trucks dont go to the scrap yard like they used to (galvanized bodys)

I rollered my caddy matt black it it looked wicked, also if you do it yourself you don't worrie as much about dinging it as you can just roll it again

Land Rovers are only really allowed to be blue or green :001_tt2:

Nice looking Landy! Considering tipper conversion for mine, it's the normal pickup though not the hi-cap.
