After looking back over the past posts on this subject my shopping list for this wend at gustharts or next at the arb show depending on how my little lad is has just got larger, I know they cost a bit and could prob get 1 splice up for less but with the original at least you have some comeback if the worst happend.

As in anough thred about using a normally ring to ring cambium saver with a pulley in place of the small ring attached with a mallion for safety....my standed set up four at least 2 years with no problems....... Not total safe as I found out last climb when I found on pulling it outs of the tree the mallion had started to role against a branch and open, not enough for the ring or the pully to get out but enough for me to think time to upgrade!

Didnt mean it as a dig against any of you lads who splice as I have seen your work on here and is all to a high standed, good as any shop bought item if not better but how many can surply certificate of conformity papers, not that its allways needed.

So any volentiers and how much different in cost would it be in reality?
