How very patronising you are!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wisdom with us fools, it very good of you.

Im sorry if i came across as sounding patronishing as it wasn't meant to be

all i can do is apolise. And i never thought you were fools either.

I have maybe a very strict accountant who is also a friend also my cousin

is a tax inspector (handy sometimes).

What they say is you can put in for drink but it wont necessarily go through

your companies books it will come off your own personal tax allowance.

It is stupid because you can claim for meals and it is a lot but not for alcohol, why i dont know.

I also am limited and dont like paying tax.

No problem mate!

Is it not classed as "corporate hospitality"?

An accountant I had 8 years ago once gave me a right bollocking.

I asked him if I could afford a new motor, he said "not on those takings" so I said "I could always putthrough a few more invoices."

He went nuts, " You should be putting all your invoices through" he said

I was told it's because he's a chartered accountant and they are the strictest, whether thats true or not I don't know

Did a big beech take down 2 weeks ago over 3 phase on one side, single phase under 2nd side, phone line under 3rd side, targets everywhere below. Survived with no breakages and no medium rare climber (me). Client just phoned and said he had something for me, so popped round and he gave me eight 50g packets of Golden Vag. Most sorted.

He probably thought I would need it for my nerves!!!

I honestly do now. I have that many overheads now everything has to go through, makes much easier book keeping too.

I also sleep better at night. :001_smile:
