did you ever find out the make of the winch as my neighbour has just got one the same but the clutch works on his

I'd be talking to local brake/clutch place as they might be able to send it away to get some made up

 

The good places I knew seem to have disappeared. Last time I had a brake band relined the chap said that it was asbestos based material that needed rivets and modern stuff was bonded, modern stuff also had lower friction coefficient.

I have a similar winch. Will check make tomorrow. The pads look ok in the photo. What is the problem?

 

There is only a couple of mm on the pads, and as i had it apart i thought i would replace them.
