having replaced a 395 husky + 25inch bar, for a MS660+30inch bar, i find that the stihl is much much better, even with a bigger bar than the husky, fantastic to use, feels alot comfier than the husky did, somehow more user friendly.

diddnt order it with heated handles, which would have been nice at the mo!

MS 660 without a doubt - better on paper and in real life. Agree with above comment on comfort in use. I typically end up using it after I should have swapped to a smaller saw - it's that good to use. Power delivery is spot on, nothing seems to retard it. I originally bought with a 25" bar and soon changed to a 30"; the latter doesn't strain it at all. Make sure you get at least 25% discount!

395 has far better vib levels than the 660 so not only a better saw but better for you as well.

i have 2 at work and 1 of my own and have used them along side a few 660 and the 395 out performed both 660 and vib levels were very noticably better on the 395

the 660 hurt my hands after 10 mins

395 has lower vibes? Obviously Stihl fans will steer you to the 660 and Husky fans the other, so:

MS660 7.1bhp 7.3kg f handle vibes 4.1 m/s2 rear 5.9 m/s2

395XP 6.6bhp 7.9kg f handle vibes 6.5 m/s2 rear 10.2 ms/2

395 has lower vibes - I don't think so. Power to weight ratio - clear to see which is better.

I've heard it said that runnning a 25" bar the husky might be faster in softwood and running a 30" or longer the Stihl beats it in any wood, especially ripping.
