Rail and trolley system for kiln ideas

Good ideas all - thanks for the imput!

 

I spent ages trying to find cam bearing and forklift rollers, but there aren't many that represent an affordable option.

 

I really like the idea of a narrow gauge railway and will investigate next week.

 

Collapsable kiln isn't really an option as I use a back from a refrigerated lorry - it's a great container that is cheaper to buy than building one myself.

how about a collapsable kiln? build it round your stack of timber? not sure how feesable ,but sounds easier?

 

how about cutting the floor out of the wagon body/ kiln and lifting it over the wood stack with the fork lift, much lighter and quicker than moving the timber, just a thought:001_smile:

forklift mast bearings or forklift carriage bearings, some bearing companies do them, but if you could find an old forklift carriage that would have the bolts with it aswell might be a better option, there is one for sale on ebay
