Well i should say you'll be ok. Get the bike gears all cleaned up and 3 in 1 oiled. Check tyres are good road tyres. ( it is a road bike i hope, 60miles on mountain bike won't be so easy).

Get some good hill practise rides in. And yes for shorts and chamois cream!!

Had my first go on my turbo last night with training vid. Really surprised how much I enjoyed it. Not getting out on my bike at the mo. So it's abit of a compromise . Still spinning a couple times a week.

Rumours for this years ride is 8 day 8 country's ! In July

Got a ride in France in April so need to keep up the training

I mentioned a while ago that I was going to take up a challenge for 2014 that involved running a half marathon a week for the whole year. Well im 18 half marathons in and Im still not broken!

If you want to have a look at some of the photos etc then click the link and it'll take you to the facebook page.

How long do you take to recover from each half marathon?

I did the London marathon back in 98 and could hardly walk like Charlie for a week afterwards. Recon I have run a total of 26 miles in the all the years since then
