Took part in mountain mayhem at the weekend as part of a ten man retro bike team, so old bikes only. Used my '92 cannondale and it was flawless as usual, also the Saracen did a lap but I got a puncture!

And swam 1600m in the lake tonight. They have a measured 400m course so for laps, in 30:20. Longest swim I have ever done!

Heres my other old bike, did my first triathlon on this last year and did quite well! It a 1987/8 saracen trekker, set up like I had mine back then with scott at4 bars which were unique in that they were crap!

But now its retired and I use this modern thing for triathlons.

This is last weekends race, came 6th in my age group, 40-50yrs (out of 48) so my best effort yet. With 6:45 for the 400m swim, so the swimming is paying off.

Oval chain rings and Flexstems. That takes me back to happy days when I used to ride a lot.

You have looked after those old machines very well there Rupe. My old GT Karakorum is still kicking about but does not look in as good nick as your bikes.
