often wondered about seal skinz, i like the idea, just not sure if they would be worth the money. how long do they last?

Couldn't say to be honest, don't climb in them often enough to have worn a set out yet, and I don't climb day in day out anyway. I would imagine they'll last as long as anything else, perhaps a shade longer.... Certainly better than my grippy palmed work gloves....

I know the feeling but now i think i have found the answer! try these....

Towa Activegrip Advance Gloves | F R Jones and Son

i never used to like wearing gloves while climbing and when i did they wouldnt last more than 3 or 4 trees but these towa ones have been the best so far and last much longer than any of the others i have tried:thumbup1:

A week of use in those and they leave my hands stinking to high heaven. Can't even scrub the smell out. I used to love them but the smell put me off. Plus they were £4/pair near me. I went on eBay and got a pack of 12 nitrile coated ones with very thin fabric at the back for less than a tenner. Lasting me ages, had about 6 months so far and still not finished the pack! Good enough value for me!

I do not wear gloves but if I did it would be traffi-gloves x-grip.

Seal skins are poor climbing gloves.

Depends which ones, there are a few different sorts, the pimple palm ones are OK, not as grippy as the grippy palm things, but on cold wet days at least they're warm & dry!
