lots of the trucks in nz dont have roller doors but normal doors with a hollow bar behind them. to securely lock them, you lift the tipper and insert a bar through the hollow and lower the tipper. Do trucks in the UK have it like this, i cant remember! if not would pics help?

TGS are the most expensive coach builders in the city!

Oh really i thought it was pretty good for the deal i had, i visited their factory and had alook around and was really impressed with what i saw and the build quality was great. I even bought some hinges and catches at what i can only believe to be cost as they were soooo cheap compared to others i have seen.

I think i could of made one for half the cost with the welder but its on the truck now and looking good.

I did ask tipmaster for a quote....!

The treescape trucks have that system, its pretty hard to defeat, especially when there tipper also has a bucket snorkel rested on it as well.

Best way to explain it is that there are two cupboard doors that on the inside have like a towel rail mounted inside each door. The rails line up with each other when closed. The sides of the toolbox have a hole where a long 20mm round rod can be inserted which then goes through the towel rails and through the other side of the box. You put the rod in with the deck tipped up, then when the deck is down it sits pretty snug to the rod. (which is straight with a bend at the end to be a kind of handle.)

They double as a great place to hang gear on the inside of the doors.
