top handled saw on the ground not sure if i like the sound of that

 

its a new-ish saw some people hate them some people love them i havnt used one so cant tell you!

 

they do a rear handled 201. its called a ms201 without the t on the end

have you used it yet just with the normal bar. im just wondering how much the front end lifts when you rev it. i think im gonna buy one.

i use an old back handled 200 for carving and its brilliant, if the 201 is as good a saw (which it will be) then it too will be excellent for carving. I'm not an expert, in fact I'm still only just beginning with carving but the weight, balance and durability of the professional arb saws are definitely worth the increased price over the hobby/home saw range. i wouldn't want to be running one of those saws for hours at a time under practically no load, their just not made of the right stuff.

:thumbup:I got a 201 today and love it even though it a fortune. i have fitted it with a 12" carving bar.

i've a 200 back handle and wonder why i got it sometimes.... will probs keep it to see if i ever do any carving lol

if u ever decide to get rid send it this way
