Ahh, downer, I was hoping it could be welded.

 

It can be but you need someone who knows what they are doing and not just someone who's got a welder and will have a go.

 

If I remember right the block will have to be preheated, welded with cast rods then allowed to cool very slowly.

 

There,s a lot of impurities in cast

 

Treequip might know how, he,s quite up on things like that

Smoke came out of the bonnet of my car, pulled over and opend it up, there was Fire!!

turns out the ac had seized up.

 

how much to replace and flush- £838

combined with the week off with the kids makes me feel just a little poor!
