Yes and no?

Yes i own one as sam has already said,

and after owning it for about 7 months or so, and rigging on it for 7 months at least twice a week.........i have never used it at all? not once????

i am told by everyone on the ground that it is awesome, and if you feel that you don't want to spend that amount on anything else then get one, there great for your average rigging scenario's and i have put some Reg coates sized pieces on to it to,

now if i'm honest with you i will say this! save that little extra and buy the stein single bollard, for several reasons really,

the tree runner is cheap for a start, now thats not saying its crap i'm just saying its looking more than 7 months old already,

500kg swl thats plenty and the preservation mounts are great to(same as stein bollard with rubber mounts on), but that is your limit you can't take the mounts of and cut the back plate into the tree like you can the stein single bollard, and get near 3000kg swl but then i would never be lowering that, i would just find the stein on dismantles alot more sturdy being able to do just that though:sneaky2: .

now not sure about the steins durability but having seen most of Reg's videos they can take quite a pounding, now thats were the p500 is not so robust, i had about a 75kg piece pushed onto one of the pegs and bent it slightly, if there are any other questions i'll try and answer them but it will be answers only what i've been told...:001_huh: ..............

but don't take my word for it bro, i've never used one before, from in the tree it feels smooth but then it don't matter whats being used! its always the quality of your groundy that matters mate,

now if i was to choose again for me it would always be the stein.....

i got a stein single bollard about 5 months ago,and we love it, its looks good for its age too, but we prob only use it around once or twice a week and its packed in a old suitcase which its fits into so its not thrown around as such (like you could it weighs a ton), what we like is the predictability of it, the ease of use once it is set up, the only draw back is the weight you really need two men to set it up, i have dropped a few logs on it, but it didn't even really scratch it, i bought it because i hated the portarap we used to use, when your in the tree it would sometimes twist or something and be a pain, and when your on the ground it just seemed a pain, and unstable, but that is just me i think, because everyone else uses them fine, hope this helps too regarding the stein

I have a stein dual which is superb although no use to this thread except for two points.

1. We've accidentally hit it with some big bits and no damage at all, the traps are excessively suitable.

2. I've bought ' money saving' products in the past and always always regretted it.

I'm not saying you'll regret buying a cheap bollard but I know for a fact where I would spend my money.
