padlock with alarm - any good?

dont mean this to sound daft, but befor i get one or consider it, after some feedback really, but does anyone have one these padlocks with alarms?

are they any good?

i would use it to replace my current padlocks on my chain that is looking after my chainsaws at present.

After clearing out my poly tunnel I found one I'd bought a while back... chucked it away - seems good in principle but I dunno never got round to using it.

wouldnt be my first defence system, my dog is right beside the garage even a bird lands he barks! you could say thats my first barrier of defence

I'm going for the big metal box bolted to the floor method. Then have a chain welded into said box to go through handles of what's in box. The if you want put big dogs bed on top of said box........
