Hi can anyone shine some light on what weight I can carry LEGALY on a U1500 & a U1600 and I guess a U1650 would have the same payload as a U1600 correct?

Just been to see Alex Price & Atkinson Vos and a little confused as they both say completely different things hmmmmm

Anyone had any bad dealings with Atkinson Vos?

Cheers Chris

just looked at some info i have only got some info on a u1200 it might help a bit

gross weight 6.8 ton

unladen weight 4.34 ton

giving a payload just under 2.5 ton

No, U1200's are 7.5 ton, same as a U1000, some of the older U1250's are 10 ton.

I'm pretty sure U1500's are 11.5 ton and U1600's are mostly the same, although mines only 10.5 ton, but thats because it has two front axles, as its 4WS.

These are GVW's.

A U1500 will weigh about 6 ton empty, a U1600 nearer 5 ton.

nice,i assume its all hydraulic?how does it work, does the rear axle have its own steering box?any pics of workings?cheers

Its hydraulic, air and electric, there is a switch on the dash to select, crab or arctic, it automatically locks out if you accessed 20 KPH.

It has a double ended hydraulic ram on the rear axle.

clever, has it been fault free?have had a couple of telehandler experiences of nightmare re alingnment/stuck in crab situations

It had a fault went I first got it, it just meant it did not work some times, that was sorted under warranty, since then its worked perfectly (for over 2 years)

If it goes wrong you can move the servo's manually to aline the axle and then it locks there.

The hand brake is interesting and can be a bit of a pain occasionally.
