If you are saying that they are both priced the same and it is genuinely a tonne in weight then without doubt it is the tonne but it is highly likely that they are referring to the tonne bag which does not hold a tonne of logs and is much smaller than the cm bag.

Alway sell by volume, then there can be no issues with weights and measures.

we sometimes sell by loose capacity filled in a lorry in m3 but often i will work it out in solid m3 with out air gaps

Stack a m3 on your truck and put it over a weigh bridge and get a big shock.

 

to true ,the only way your solid m3 will be close to your tonne is if it is green eg oak beech or summer felled ash
