I understood ya. They,ve never seen "Broke back mountain".............Er..what am I saying,neither have I:blushing:

How parochial and out of touch am I?

On a rare shopping excursion I bought what I thought would be a good old cowboy film, on special offer and all that. Imagine my horror when I found myself watching that rubbish.

Well directed, beutifully shot by Rodrigo Prieto and two very fine central performances particularly from Heath ledger, an actor who was struck down just as he was hitting his stride. I think it would be vastly incorrect to label any Ang Lee film as `rubbish'. Maybe not to your taste.

Cant say I have seen it so could'nt possibly comment.

But i did see The Departed the other day, Not a bad effort from Scorsese. A good old mob plot twisty turn film extravaganza and some extreme over acting from Alec Baldwin.:001_tongue:

I guess while we wait for the main attraction we're just shooting the breeze about anything else. feels like awaiting room. The Departed was an OK MS film, the original was better IMO. Marty has been off the boil since Casino as far as I'm concerned. But a bad MS picture is way above anything by Joel schumacher. Alec Baldwin always over acts, not a subtle actor in any way.

Appologies for aiding the digression.....

what did you think of the Coen boys take on Cormac Mcarthys' NCFOM, J ?

I thought Javier Bardens portrayal of the psychopathic Chigura was nothing more than spine chilling. :scared:

Watched the film last night, along with Fargo were talking two of my all time top ten here. :thumbup1:
