What size motors do you fellas use in the your tree trucks? Once you have a load of much and a chipper i would not think a 2.3 would pull a boy scout off his sister?

We tend to have jap trucks down here in NZ but they are harder to find due to changed import regs but i see few ex UK trucks showing up..

We had a 3.0 @ 140hp a while ago and it was ace. Would go all day with 3.5tonne trailer and fully loaded in the back and barely know it was there. This one was a downrated 5 tonner though so don't know if there's much difference between that and an off the shelf 3.5 tonner.

Hi. I just bought another iveco 35c15 3.0 manual. Its great for pulling but very thirsty so I guess it's a bit of a trade off.

Thanks

Now I just feel inadequate!

If you are fed up with underpowered overloaded 3.5tonners, and want to get your wheels dirty then this is the toy for you, a lot more money but will do the job right and last longer .
