J, sorry to derail your thread but what is a decent price for Yew boards? Or per cubic foot.

Yew is a tricky one to price as it's a fairly low demand timber, but commands a high price when figured/pippy/burry. Low grade would be £30 a cubic foot dried. Middling grade figured mid £40s and veneer grade and the sky is the limit!

I did have 5 kiln dried pippy yew boards 7ftx 26", but I lost it when the chap who worked for me left, as it was in his workshop. couldn't be arsed to get it back.

I have one slab which is my coffee table at the moment, but will sell at some point when my Burr Oak comes good!!

have some nice coloured standard boards tho if interested!!!
