Every time I see that stuff my stomach turns. Lordy.

Then avert ones eyes my good fellow......and take a gander at oiled up body building freaks or what ever else is of your persuasion that rocks your boat

I think coronet cuts look terrible. I know one thing for sure - the majority of my customers wouldn't pay me if I started doing them. Actually, I think most of my customers would think I was having a laugh and get someone else in if I even suggested it.

Well duh... If it wasn't in the spec why would they?

I think you have missed the point of the application of this technique. It ain't for mrs miggen's apple trees.

Trust me, ya'll are in the minority of people that participate in that unholy practice. Hopefully, in time, it will die out and be abandoned altogether.

Won't do in my working lifetime.

JC was in the minority, I believe he has left us with a pretty good long lasting legacy

it's about habitat creation, not visual amenity. I think you missunderstand it's function Butch

Not disagreeing with you Pete, but i do think it is about visual ammenity as well as habitat.

Managing a Tree in a natural/semi natural environment, should, as well as taking Tree health and public safety in to consideration,

be partialy about the trees aesthetics in terms of looking as far from being man managed (Target Pruned) as is practicably possible.

Plus there is from my experience, the added benefits of stronger regrowth from attachment to (naturaly)

fractured cambium as opposed to wounds that are created by saws resulting in flushed and/or flat cuts.
