Today was the suckiest day this year, topping confier lines is bad, topping confier lines on the wettest day ever is really bad, topping confier lines swamped in russian vine and with brambles growing through them sucked big time.

Then we finish and arrive at the yard at 3 thankfull for an early finish, when we get a call from the boss to go do an emergency job, a branch had fallen from a tree.

Arrive at job and said branch is actually half the tree, which is resting on a propane tank, with a power line running through it, and suspended above a mobile home.

One possible upside, we potentially saved a tree today, which is could be good, and may go someway to restoring my karma..... actually there is no chance of that.

i wish i'd remembered my camera today.

got to the job,no access into the garden as the garage hadn't been de-molished so we looked over the fence from the nieghbours side.every thing in the garden was to come out as the bungalow was being refurbished.

holy crapola what a site.a jungle of smallish tree's smoothered in rambling rose and bramble, nice.

in the corner were 5 50-60' conifers totally infested with russian vine tying them all together so no chance of felling them.we were supposed to be clearing the crap out to the front to be grabbed away but because of the developers not getting us access a quick bit of bartering and we could just get it all on the floor and smash it up and his blokes would clear it!!

so we made a start and they made a start on the garage,as the day progreesed i had a double spike pop-out and slid about 6-8' down the spar nicely skinning my stomach, chest and both arms, borrowed a big saw from mattyF and managed to lunch 6 drivelinks when it threw the chain for the 4th time rendering that un-useable then Harry managed to cut my pulling rope i half:mad:

but we got the job done,i earnt good money, the lads got the rubbish out front with a digger and dumper, was a long hard day tho

beer time now me thinks
