Its used pretty regularly, the xtc we have now has been incredibly hard wearing, I'm hoping for a similar performance from whatever we get next.

Does anyone know whether the xtc blaze is the same construction as the old xtc that we have at the mo?

xtc scorch? I think so, but i'm not sure.

Samson arbormaster gets my vote, followed by New England Hi-Vee. I wouldnt buy either, but if you like that knid of thing, they are fat and hardwearing.

i've haerd that the samson is good, I'm not a fan of HiVee though, we have some of that, it sems to snag easily and looks rougher than the xtc despite being three years younger.

Starts looking rough quickly, but it seems to plateau out and last a while after that. I know someone that has two that are nearly ten years old, they hardly ever get used, but I would still climb on it if I had too!

XTX fire or scorch or arborgold are all the same just different colours and diferent companies have diferent types, arborgold is (was) unique to honeys for example.

XTC has to one of the most hardwearing ropes out there, arbormaster gets my vote but it costs a bit more I think. I use arbormaster for day to day stuff and rigging work on spkes, it lasts forever, nice and fat but doesn't fluff up too much.

ive always been a fan of the xtc range i would say blaze and scorch are slightly better than standard xtc ( but maybe im a sucker for the brighter colours!)i really rate the scorch... seems to work well for me! have gone back to 11mm lines for the momment though but i would still buy some more

i find the gecko to be anything but bouncy!

seeing as most of you hate the M'gecko with a passion, what ropes are out there that are fat and not got any stretch in them? (dont wear gloves so thin ones make my fingers ache, and am not a toddler in a baby bouncer!)
