normally I would Dean yes, every time. But it made it easier leaving every stem the height of the hedge, lots of locking my legs in between the stems made it straightforward to lean out toward the edges...it's pretty wide.

Yes I know what you mean, I have an hedge I do that's 20ft. I have to cherrypicker it either side then jump out to do the middles :scared1:

The previous contractors want shooting for creating such a fire hazard. Well done you have a good eye for level:thumbup1:

 

They wont have been contractors, they'll have been knock a door run merchants :001_smile: One of their classic tricks to shove the waste down the middle

I feel your pain I am getting lots of these to do at the mo...but you have made feel a bit better about the climbing rose covered **** i have to go back too sometime soon..

I was talking to the owner of the nursery next door, and he said in the past he has watched them lay it all down in the top of the hedge and walk along it. I live in the same village and I have never seen anyone there doing the hedge so can't comment on who it might have been. But I have my suspicions :001_tongue:

some climbing rose, old mans beard or bramble would have tipped me over the edge I think..:001_tongue:

good job!when i trim large macro hedges i can normally walk down the middle because there so dense which makes them not to bad 2 work on
