firewood production process

We are currently half way through splitting our wood for next winter we started this time last year by taking 50 tonne out of a wood we replanted. Sold last bag of origonal lot 3 weeks ago. We have also sold half the birch we bought in december which we cutand split straight away into vented bags and stored under a dutch barn that catches alot of sun and wind its prob not fully seasoned i know but burns well and people have been happy with it. Were going to do at least 100 tonne this year mb more if i get brave (or stupid lol). We run a cheap wessex splitter on a mf 698t and all cutting is done by hand picking logs 2 or 3 at a time with a tractor with palet tines and cutting with chainsaw. logs are piled next to splitter and split into m3 vented bags we made a bag stand to hold the bag on a pallet to fill then can move with a pallet jack or tines. we can at best split a m3 in a hr all 8 inch logs small to medium sized. I dont want to go down the processor route because we arnt doing enough yet in my opinion and it also would limit the size of stuf we could buy. I would very much like a pto driven poche splitter but would like to know if this would improve my output. what type of outputs do you guys get?

On my own cutting 3' lenghts with a saw, splitting and stacking about 7 m3 a day.

Cutting with a saw, splitting with an axe - I can cut 1m3 in 20 minutes, and split 1m3 in 40 minutes. So 1m3 an hour. Add in some extra time, though, for things like saw and axe sharpening.

saw and axe for us too, i have a full time job 60-70hrs a week and on a sunday i cut about 2 m3 in an about 50 mins, then on a monday when children are in nursery my missus splits and puts in m3 vented bags, she says it only takes her an hour and half a cube lol.
