Hi guys, took the handle off my 200t today to fix the on off switch ( wire came off), when I was reconnecting it my big clumsy hands knocked everything else out of the handle. I have managed to re attach all the linkages however there is no distinct difference between choke, half choke and on.

any ideas what I might have done? Im assuming something to do with the metal springs but no real idea?

Cheers

Did one this morning and it fell apart when I was clumsy. The problem was the same, in my case the problem was at the carb end of the choke rod. The short link from the white crank to the choke had come out of the top of the rear white crank, but is not easy to notice. Look in top left of spuds 1st pic.

Great idea to build up picture library Spud.

Must keep my camera on my bench, but I am rubbish at close ups. What camera do you use?

Spud, try selotapeing a bit of greasproof paper,or one skin of toilet paper (white) over the flash with these close ups, knocks the highlights out & difuses the flash to even it out.

A bit of plastic milk bottle will do the job too.:001_smile:

Pretty good idea that - should diffuse the flash for close ups, I only took these for my own sake as the MS200T handle is one of those components that can give problems - not so much now but still useful for others.

I usually try to use natural light or use the zoom but will try the grease proof paper:thumbup:

I always make a habit of taking a quick snap with the phone cam when in virgin territory!:sneaky2:

Has pulled me out of the crap many a time especially on modern cars with umpteen pipes and cables!
