This is what intrigues me about bible interpretation. There are parts which are taken literally and then when something doesn't fit then it's manipulated/interpreted to. It puzzles me.

Indeed, before I left the JW's, I researched the bible in it original languages, often the were 6 worlds that could all be used as a translation for the original word, so you have to know what you want the bible to say before you translate it which makes it pretty pointless.

If nobody can be 100%certain in academic latin, a much younger language, what chance an accurate translation of the bible?
