The customer did not want it felled even though I warned them it might not do well as there was masses of dead wood . So I did what they wanted and the best I could with it for them

Know the feeling, doing a job on two Cypress trees ATM. Both butchered on main stem ten years ago. Top butchered. Most of the growth is in neighboring gardens. Client wants them "pruned" to keep neighbors happy. advised total removal, wants the trunks to remain. He will have two cacti cypress and is happy with this. The customer is always right.

Hi dog tag thanks for reply:001_smile: it is always a hard one when they don't want what sometimes is best for it .but now at least all the dead is off and it's tidy and that is exactually what the customer asked me to do for them , they were very happy with the result

If I had said no they would of only got someone else in to do the same thing

And paid them instead .

All the best with your job too.

Thanks littletree:thumbup:

I said she had done fine, and not to listen to me, but I still think they are not the best pics to show off someones skills.

Sometimes its best to keep quiet about these jobs, we all do them fo rthe exact same reason, if we dont do it someone else will. If its not in a conservation area then it doesn't matter waht it looks like, and if it come back badly and you get to fell it then repeat business, getting paid twice for the same tree, happy days.

As long as the customer is informed then its up to them what they do to their trees.

Wicked thanks for all your nice posts:001_smile:

. I really loved doing that tree very much it was a real pleasure to do it for them even though it would of been better down they liked the tree there and I was really pleased to be able to it a second chance clean it up and give it some care and attention . I got it all back to nice new wood and give it a good shape on top so if we get any new growth from it it should look ok

I have to restore lots of trees like that. I really love that type of work i love the de iveying and the dead wooding and doing the trees that are so covered in ivy you would not think there was a tree under it I always give 100% to each tree and am really very happy to show a pic of my work .
