Hi I bought an old 88 a while back and I'm not sure it sounds right. There seems to be a "put put put put" while it's cutting. Had a thought it may be an air leak, also think it's done it when u rev it then let go? Any ideas much appreciated cheers mike

I'd rather use a bow saw! 

Decomp makes sense with lowering of compression - the decomps can fall apart so may be worth swapping it out also the air they let in may cause overheating.
