Too true. useless on prob 99.9% of tree jobs even on street tree work you would have to have road closures etc so I doubt it would be very cost effective.

 

Awesome piece of kit on the right jobs and would love to have a go of it.

Yes, after investing easy £300k I would be still advertising in church magazines for domestic apple tree pruning jobs!!

 

The same sceptics will find a reason not to buy an extended hedge cutter, because they ain't much use for Felling Douglas fir on the borders countryside:001_rolleyes:

Seen these in Germany doing roadside trees, bigger than this one with fully hydraulic head for ultimate control, for motorway work they look very effective.

They, like all bits of kit have pros and cons, in my limited experience of working alongside one the pros dont out weigh the cons as far as i could see. . . yet
