A unimog is a chimera, neither tractor nor truck.

I disagree, I would say that a Unimog can be EITHER a tractor or a truck, depending on the specification.

I will give you that one. The name means universal and the Germans run the mog in three specifications however in the UK there are plenty of mogs enjoying the benefits of running Ag specification that aren’t actually Ag specification. They are either but neither, but that’s an issue for the DVLA

Go search the forum its been discussed many many times, there is no straight simple answer I know where there are mogs on red and taxed as tractors but I know just as many running on white, taxed as HGV and running on O licences.

i am running on red that is ok i take it???

It depends on the situation. If the mog is AG spec and registered as a tractor then it can run on red just like a tractor, HMCE hold that it should be identical to a tractor so you can’t carry chip or logs on the mog but you can carry them in a trailer drawn by the mog.
