i think it could be a good idea, but i think some people might then use it to much and forget about the curve in trees or which side the tree is weighted the wind direction etc etc they will just assume it will fell where the laser points.

yea i liked that too, i would pay for one of them for sure.

The laser sight thing just looks like a gimmick to me, like test cricket says there is more than just the direction of the gob and back cut being perfectly straight to make it go in the right place. You might get first prize in the rate my hinge thread though

No ta! Keep it simple - cool gadget but I reckon could get pretty annoying after a time, and no doubt fairly fragile to. As others say, I think the novelty would wear off soon and could get complacent because of it or encourage confidence above ability.
