he did say that if you use them blunt they can shatter but who uses blunt chipper blades?

Thats bollocks. The steel they use is identical to TW. If you ask simon, he has a collection of broken OEM TW knives.

Timberwolf hate simon because they make such a large profit on replacement knives.

I have to agree and probably know more than most. Saturn blades are made of the same steel and to exactly the same spec as TW blades. Tw will claim they have broken pattern blades with there test methods, but never one of their own. (I must have been seeing things all those years) I must also add I've seen pattern blades from some lesser known companies shatter into many pieces but Saturn are as good as they come. We've used and sold them for ages and never had one complaint.

My mate had a set recently into his 7" PTO schiesling and they broke up, that's my only experience off them and it put me off. I bought TP genuine ones :(

However if Ed and Mike say they are good I would think that is correct ;)

my mate owns a toolmaking company and used to sharpen chipper baldes at times for me.he was telling me once that he could copy the one's i had given him in a differant type of steel that you could chip a scaff pole and not touch the edge of the blade(obviously wouldn't do the bearings much good),so anyone fancy some everlasting blades?
