Ground anchor for Speedlines.

I wondered if any one on here sometimes uses a form of ground anchor when there are no trees or solid structures available?

I just saw rigging video where they used a metal stake hammered into the lawn, over this they slid a small sleeve that had an eye and steel strop.

Whatever is used it must be easy to retrieve the stake from the ground.

Thanks.

I've got one of those with 6 pins and a V-shaped flat plate still in its packaging if you want to give it a go. I bought it for stump pulling but haven't needed it yet.

That sounds like a landrover recovery ground winch. I have used one of them to pull a DAF out of a ditch very very good!

Thanks for the endorsement. Yes, that's exactly what it is. I don't see how you could go wrong without sloping the pins the wrong way! In a domestic setting though my heart would be in my mouth re utilities: I know they're supposed to be installed at depth but somehow seem not to be in every case...!
