Cows are not killed for their leather, they are killed for the meat, if we all stopped using leather there would be just as many cows slaughtered as before. You can wear leather with a clear conscience, knowing that you are buying a product that would just be thrown away if it weren't needed.

 

i agree with this and i'd add that leather is at least biodegradable.

Each to their own tho :biggrin:

Show some respect for other people beliefs and convictions.

 

Geez i was only having a laugh, doesnt bother me when people laugh at things i believe in.

He cuts down trees, doing many different animals (mostly insects) out of house and home not to mention how many get squashed in the process. Is a cow any different because its bigger? If it was really that important that no animals are harmed then he's in the wrong job unfortunately.

If i offended anyone then i am sorry but its part of life, get used to it. I could see the point if i attacked his character or something but i only made a stupid comment with no malice intended.

On a more serious note I have talked this over in the chat room and it was decided that you could use wooden clogs for your work boots.

 

i presume you mean the clogs that are used in holland. as in the uk clogs have leather uppers:thumbup1:

if so how wood you put steel toecaps on them:confused1:
