Anyone know if Agricultural Vehicles are exempt from the new rules? Thinking of taking a tractor into the M25.

M25 isn't covered by LEZ. Problem starts when you leave it. MOST exits have a NON LEZ way out....

I hate the LEZ, it targets small business, national companies just put their older lorries elsewhere.

 

On the TFL LEZ website you can put your reg in and it will tell you if you exempt/compliant.

 

If not, you have do what we have just done, i.e. prove it is a tractor (Tree Spade) I have had to fill out a form (11 pages by the time you add your V5, five pictures of the tractor (one from each angle and one inside the cab). They do not give out the email address for submission of the form, but I have it, if you need it. Had to do this for each Tree Spade.

 

First time in they send you a letter and give you 28 days to comply (I believe).

 

My tractors were exempt before the latest change, but I have to resend it all in again.

This is a link to the LEZ map, on the M25 you are OK, it is only when you come inside, the M25 is not the boundary, just a good rule of thumb. It is 24x7x265, not like the congestion charge.

AG vehicles are exempt until 2018. At least that's what the rules say today. They could change them tomorrow!
