I have no tattoos, if I did and I was pricing I would cover them up. Once you have the job and are working in this day and age i do not see a problem, but, and its a big but

piercings and those tubes that people put in their earlobes are, to me, repulsive. To people of a certain generation they are off putting.

Just my opinion.

A lad that workes for me has loads on his body, most of them have been done by a couple of his mates which dont look too good and arnt fully coloured in. when the weathers warm he has to stay covered up.

Are you saying you ask/make him wear long sleeves in hot weather? Seems a bit harsh if you don't mind me saying. What would you do if he got heat exhaustion?

Edit - sorry, I have now read your later post!

Long arm underarmer type things, there pretty good keep you cool and they give your arms a bit of protection from scratches as well. i much prefer to wear that in the heat than a cotton t or polo

One summer holiday i worked for a maintenance gardener who had a sleeve tattoo, he kept it covered as 90% of his customers where 60+ and in his eyes they wouldnt like it. Thats where my orignal idea come from but times are changing :001_smile:

I don't think it should be an issue, there was an article in the paper last year saying the police were wanting to recruit more people with tattoos.

Unless they are rude or swastikas etc then it shouldn't be a problem. Don't judge a book by its cover.

One of them is a gun on his waist so when he has his top off it looks like he has a gun shoved down his trousers!

I asked him to cover because of negative comments from customers, plus of the sun exposure.

Always have my Artwork covered up on quotes . When I get the job there out . I never judge a book by its cover but a lot of people still do . I've met some brilliant characters who for one reason or another don't fit into the so called normal box .
