Few trees down near me last night, council seem to be dealing with it this morning though, one of the small (but busy) lanes was blocked as far as i could tell with a large macrocarpa:scared1:

 

Has that knackered beech in the field not gone over yet? Don't know how that is still standing!

That was before Andrew turned up with all the cones and stuff, that "cut" was pretty weird, the tree had just snapped off about a foot below ground, there was no roof flare whatsoever. I suspect due to the ground level being raised some years ago. Big tree, was probably 80 foot.

When your driving to mine. You go past Taylor's farm and then after the sharp bend where there is a white metal fence on your left, there's a large beech that's got some serious dieback! Some ganos forming in the buttresses too this year. Need to get out an have a gander.
