yh but someone young like my self or a person just starting out mite see there on ebay one days listing mite say some stoire to fall for and the price mite be a say half the price and thats it you bought a chinse saw for good money i think they maby there a case for stihl and husky to look into fr coping there stuff

mind you i supose it depends how alike they are? if you could replace any faulty items with genuine husky or ahem.. stihl parts might do someone, i had a chinese trailbike copy of a twin shock XL by the time i sold it on it was about 50% honda

One of these days the Chinese are going to send one of these saws over and its going to knock the socks off the competition!

 

People have this perception that everything from China is crap, when in fact a lot of the high quality stuff we use is made in China. Its all down to the workforce, or more importantly whose overseeing them in said factory. I bet we would knock out some pretty shocking stuff ourselves if some of our workforce were left to their own devices

Exactly right! The chinese seem to make whatever people want to buy. You could ask them to make you 1000 saws at £10.00 each with life expectancy of 5 minutes and they would do it. You could then sell them on fleabay with no spares or backup, from your garden shed.

Or you could do as Rochfords have and visit the country, have the saw built to an exacting standard and supply it through the dealer network with complete backup.

They can, and do, build good stuff with the right supervision.

probably is some ok stuff on the market like the saw reviewed in forestry journel but we do tend to import the cheap stuff which is crap

its only crap from china because we get them to make it as cheap as they can, if you actually pay them a decent price for their product u'll get very good products!!!
