Keep your Immune system well boosted, mate, and bathe it in salt water if you are allowed by the doc :001_smile:

I find one measure of malt Scotch poured over the wound to one measure drunk works quite effectively.

Hope it heals quick for you.

Cutting corners today, tried to catch a branch but went wrong and got half of my hand jammed and half decided to move.

Got out of surgery 2 hrs ago, on morphine and have to go back into theatre on Thursday for internal stitching.

Luckily no bones or tendon damage.

I have ripped my fingers apart approx 3"s right through.

Take care guys,

HI stephen sorry to here that mate hope you get well very soon mate all the best jon

Oh bugger that looks tremendously painful! The stupid mistakes are the most frustrating - for the first time I managed to mash a couple of finger tips under a heavy oak slab a month and a bit back. Two quite deep cuts followed and they took about 5 weeks to heal.

All the best for the surgery tomorrow and a speedy recovery.

Thanks again folks, Matt I knocked stem out a rowan tree, I went to grab the butt before it hit the deck to save some bulbs, the tip hit the ground first so the but came down hard, it was approx 7" just short of 20' long, my hand got forced back against the trunk and then downward, it was a split second stupid decision.

the pictures are after the first clean at casualty with the big doctor holding it together, it's about a 3" tear up the pam side.

Not clever
