Those ones who send you an email to say how pleased they are with your hard work.....and then say they'll pay you when they come back from holiday next week.......

Well if you let them dictate the payment terms, this will continue to happen .

Rather than vent your frustration here , drop them an email back saying thus us not acceptable, give them your bank details and say payment is now due.

Unless you said to them prior to work completion, pay me whenever.

this is advice, nit critisism :)

they wouldn't get away with paying a mechanic etc when they felt like it so it should be the same with you. I know what its like though you don't want to make a fuss and scare them for the future but there are tactful ways of putting it to them that you require payment sooner rather than later.

I had the same at the start of the week. Finished 4 days of work & got a check only to find they had dated it for the 23rd 10 days after id finished the work!! & a merry christmas to you too!!!

Is it really that bad? A week's wait sounds fairly quick!
I think it is since it is his money, unless you would like to spot him a loan to hold him over untill his customer decides to pay him for his labor and material:sneaky2:

i wouldnt say a weeks thats bad ,and if there really that happy with you then surley keeping in the good books is better than pissing them off for future work or recemendation , id suck it up and wait personally :001_smile:
