Talk talk and internet down

I'm on talk talk and can't get on the internet at the mo (DNS not responding), tried turning the router on and off and used another laptop, but nothing and no wifi on my phone either

 

Anyone else on talk talk having problems...?

Yup. we are having issues this evening. It was off when i got in from work and took a few attempts to get it working again. Sis was having a major tantrum becuase it wasnt working on her Iphone 2. It was launched across the room in my direction even though i didnt let out a peep.

i'm on talktalk and not experienced any problems. i'm in rural aberdeenshire.

Sometimes its your ISPs DNS server not being able to answer requests fast enough that can cause slow downs or outages, if you're familiar with your router config what you could try is set the router to use Open DNS which is faster and more reliable

 

In the DNS settings, make a note of the existing settings then set:

 

DNS1 - 208.67.222.222

DNS2 - 208.67.220.220

 

If theres no improvement then change it back!

 

I know this works well with Talk Talk & have used the service on every network router I install as well as using it personally for several years.
