Make sure you pick a good one or know someone who knows what theyre looking for to come with you. I bought a dog and there was so much that needed sorting. Got rid of it in the end as at the time I couldnt afford to do the work, now I miss it way too much, I get landrover envy everytime ones mentioned. A good well looked after one should do you many many years though. Id definately buy again albeit wiser.

Landrover all the way. I'v had navaras and rangers as well. now on my second defender, nearly 20 years old and just shy of 180K miles- engine and gearbox haven't yet been touched.

It's brilliant and wouldn't swap it out now- just chuck the dogs in it, or fill it with wood, great for shooting/ lamping from and goes just about anywhere i point it providing the driver's ability is up to it

I have a 300TDI 130 crew cab and i love it and a swb series 3 and a p38 range rover - would i buy an other Landrover - Yes

But if your buying a defender get a tracker and some decent security devices on it

My tracker was from Tiso gps (google it) and has a pay as you go sim card in it you can track it online after texting it to activate it

Get a Defender. I had a 1984 landrover 90 that had 178000 on the clock and it ran without trouble. As mentioned poor heaters and few bad bits people go on and on about but they are practical, easy to modify and will go anywhere.

Sold mine last year and now I totally regret it.

Good luck. :)
